It has become the default now to take a walk around sunrise. On some mornings I go carroming along on the mountain bike. Or, like yesterday, both. The circuit I follow is about 5 miles, and has a bit of everything now that the monsoon has moistened the air way up to about 45% [...] I’m living in an off-grid home right now, out in the desert not far from the Mexican border. Very quiet and somewhat isolated. There are animals staying there, including a half-bobcat who appears and disappears like a black eidolon, mostly at night.
