The windowsill of my office is a hangout for the several Clark’s Spiny Lizards that reside in the furnace room, which has outside doors. In the mornings they head along the wall, stop for a bit on my windowsill, and then continue along the wall until they get close enough to the tree trunks [...] He was out there in the driveway one sunny Saturday morning. I went out with my camera and started taking photos. He came right to me, and I was the one that blinked, stood up, and moved aside. Here he is just before turning my way.
