The windowsill of my office is a hangout for the several Clark’s Spiny Lizards that reside in the furnace room, which has outside doors. In the mornings they head along the wall, stop for a bit on my windowsill, and then continue along the wall until they get close enough to the tree trunks [...] A regular late afternoon visitor for a drink and a rest… He was out there in the driveway one sunny Saturday morning. I went out with my camera and started taking photos. He came right to me, and I was the one that blinked, stood up, and moved aside. Here he is just before turning my way. Getting a taste of irrigation water… [...] Found this little fellow moving along in a big (relatively speaking) hurry on the desert floor this morning. Most of the shots I took ended up being following shots as my aging digicam struggled to focus fast enough. When I looked at the photo it hit me that the gravel I crunch over by [...] |
